We knew we were the only people at that time heading for the exit, down the long, vertigo-inducing spiral ramp down to street level. As we entered the ramp, I was hit with one last inspiration and stopped, put the car in “park” and set the parking brake. She looked puzzled, but I pointed to the sign crudely stenciled on the wall and she understood. We both quickly hopped out of the car for one last, brief, mischievous act to seal the evening. Who would guess from this picture that this woman was at that moment in the heart of downtown, having just spent the evening at the city opera?
